Who We Are

Redeemer is a growing church in Louisville and part of the Presbyterian Church in America. We exist to glorify God by enjoying him together. We share that joy with one another in our church community, our city, and our world. We seek to be gospel-centered and historically rooted.

FRITZ GAMES, SENIOR PASTOR

Fritz and his wife Aimee began at Redeemer in the summer of 2016. Fritz has always said he’d like to pastor a church he’d love to be a part of, and he has found it in Redeemer. He and Aimee have been married for 24 years and have four children in college and one still at home. Fritz cut his teeth in ministry in the Mississippi Delta doing youth ministry, attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS, then launched chapters of the P.C.A. college ministry R.U.F. at Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University. While in Bowling Green he had the privilege of helping his best friend plant Grace and Peace Presbyterian. He likes to think he’s a decent mountain biker but thankfully finds his true identity in Christ!

FOREST ARNOLD, ELDER

Forest is a founding member of Redeemer Louisville since 2004, and was here for the particularization of the church in 2007. He had the opportunity to move out of state, but stayed to serve the church in the early years. He enjoys being part of this wonderful church and is humbled to serve it. He is supported by his wife, Dana, who herself is sensitive to the needs and joys of the congregation. He is part of the music ministry during worship. Forest and Dana have three sons who are also members of Redeemer.

JONATHAN KIEL, ELDER

Jonathan has been at Redeemer since 2014. He was elected as an elder in 2016. Jonathan and his wife, Corrie, have three young children (Samuel, Miriam, and Charlotte). They moved to Louisville in 2010 to pursue a Ph.D. in Old Testament studies after he graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary. Their time at Redeemer has been among the most rewarding and joy-filled times of their lives. When not working for Redeemer or writing his dissertation, you will probably find Jonathan spending time with his family or riding his bike.

JEFFREY NAU, ELDER

Our Lord is great and He has blessed us with a wonderful body of believers at Redeemer through whom and with whom we can fellowship and serve. My wonderful wife, Katie, and I moved to Louisville in 2003 for my residency training in Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose, and Throat). We helped to plant Redeemer in 2004. When I finished my residency in 2008, Katie and I were not ready to leave Louisville, and at this point probably never will. We did, and still do, look forward to seeing the Lord’s work through Redeemer. We enjoy being a part of such a loving body of believers at Redeemer. We want to see the gospel changing lives in our neighborhoods and the community. I have enjoyed the opportunity and am humbled and honored to serve as an elder.  Katie has been a crucial supporter for me in that service and is a great servant of the church in many ways herself. We have 4 boys (Clayton, Levi, Bennett, and Judah) who fill our hearts with joy, stretch our patience, and show us our sin everyday (each one fulfilling different roles at different times)!

BROOKS FOWLER, DEACON

Brooks and Lindsay have been members of Redeemer since 2014 with Brooks serving as a deacon and church treasurer since 2016. Brooks and Lindsay met in New Orleans where they lived until moving to Kentucky in 2012. They have a young son Tate who was born in 2016. The Fowlers have been blessed in so many ways by the Redeemer family and continue to grow through fellowship with others and strong gospel centered preaching.

AARON MEHALL, DEACON

Aaron has been a member of Redeemer since 2014 and has served as a deacon since 2016. Aaron grew up in the PCA and has been a member and attended multiple PCA churches. He feels blessed to have found such a welcoming church that displays such great love and fellowship. He is married to Katie and they have two children, Maximus and Penelope. Aaron enjoys sports and is a die-hard Pittsburgh sports fan.

Shanna Steiden, ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Shanna joined the staff in August of 2018. She has been married to her husband Dallas for eleven years; they have two beautiful children and are currently expecting their third. Shanna is overjoyed to see the ways that the Lord is working in this time of transition and growth, and feels humbled by the responsibilities entrusted to her.

Lauren has been delighted to be a member of Redeemer since 2015. She took on the role of Children’s Sunday School Coordinator in 2017 and looks forward to serving the church through this children’s ministry. Lauren, her husband Shelby, and three young children joined Redeemer shortly after making the move to the Louisville area from Texas. Redeemer is a place her family is grateful to call their church home, whose congregation offers continued encouragement and love.

Anna has recently, graciously accepted this new role. We are excited to have her serve our children and families in this way!

KATIE NAU, WOMEN’S MINISTRY COORDINATOR

Katie is delighted to have been a part of Redeemer since its very first worship service in 2004. She and her husband, Jeffrey, have four elementary-aged boys.  They are thankful for their Redeemer family, who supports, encourages, teaches, and loves them through life’s challenges. Katie works full-time as a mom, part-time as a veterinarian, and occasionally as a volunteer.  In stolen moments, Katie loves being outside, running, yoga, and finding new ways to eat local produce.

ERIC DENLEY, MEN’S MINISTRY COORDINATOR

My family and I moved to Louisville in 2014 and we hope to make Louisville home for years to come. I feel that God has called all men to be servant leaders within our sphere of influence. My hope and prayer is that the Men of Redeemer can encourage and disciple one another in the faith through friendship, fellowship and the study of God's Word.
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 "Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love"
