Who We Are

Redeemer is a growing church in Louisville and part of the Presbyterian Church in America. We exist to glorify God by enjoying him together. We share that joy with one another in our church community, our city, and our world. We seek to be gospel-centered and historically rooted.

Fritz - Option 1.jpg

Fritz and his wife Aimee began at Redeemer in the summer of 2016. Fritz has always said he’d like to pastor a church he’d love to be a part of, and he has found it in Redeemer. He and Aimee have been married for 26 years and have five children, two out of college, two in, and in high school. Fritz grew up in the church, ran from God and the church, and God ran him down while in college. He cut his teeth in ministry in the Mississippi Delta doing youth work, attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS, then launched chapters of the P.C.A. college ministry R.U.F. at Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University. While in Bowling Green he had the privilege of helping his best friend plant Grace and Peace Presbyterian. He likes to think he’s a decent mountain biker but thankfully finds his true identity in Christ!

Matt G..jpg

Matt Griffiths, ELDER

Matt and his family moved to Louisville in the summer of 2016 as part of a job relocation. Redeemer welcomed them with open arms and provided the support and fellowship that his family so desperately needed during that time of transition. Matt and his wife, Kate, delight to show hospitality to others and have been involved in children’s, men’s, and women’s ministries, as well as small group ministries at Redeemer.

Eric and his family have been members of Redeemer since moving to Louisville in 2014. Eric has served as the men’s ministry coordinator and currently works with the youth program. He and his wife, Dr. Amy Denley, have three children and a dog named TULIP. They feel blessed to be a part of such a loving and sincere community of believers.

Matthew - Option 2.jpg

Matthew has been a member of Redeemer since 2012 and has been serving as a Deacon since 2019. Matthew loves the Lord with all his being and is humbled to be called a servant of Christ. He is originally from Eastern North Carolina and loves to spend time in the Carolina Coasts and Mountains whenever he can, reflecting on the beauty of the Lord that he's revealed in creation. The thing that drew Matthew to Redeemer was the faithful witness to Christ and enduring friendship that her members showed, being both intentionally relational and radically hospitable at every turn. You may find Matthew helping to lead musical worship on occasion, or anywhere there’s a coffee pot. Matthew loves to run the trails around Kentucky and will almost always take you up on an offer to lace up.

Brooks and Lindsay have been members of Redeemer since 2014 with Brooks serving as a deacon and church treasurer since 2016. Brooks and Lindsay met in New Orleans where they lived until moving to Kentucky in 2012. They have two children, Tate and June. The Fowlers have been blessed in so many ways by the Redeemer family and continue to grow through fellowship with others and strong gospel centered preaching.

Aaron - Option 2.jpg

Aaron has been a member of Redeemer since 2014 and has served as a deacon since 2016. Aaron grew up in the PCA and has been a member of multiple PCA churches. He feels blessed to have found such a welcoming church that displays such great love and fellowship. He is married to Katie and they have two children, Maximus and Penelope. Aaron enjoys sports and is a die-hard Pittsburgh sports fan.

Jeff has been a Redeemer member since 2008, after coming into the PCA from the mainline church as a college student a few years beforehand. After several years at Redeemer, he moved away with the military for active duty service. He came back to Louisville and to Redeemer in 2016—and by God’s blessing, he knew he was home. Raised outside of Columbus, Ohio, Jeff hails from a very musical, Kentuckian extended family spread through the counties south of Louisville. He had no idea how much he’d love being a church deacon when he started in the role.

Daniel joined Redeemer in 2017 and has served as a Deacon since 2019. He was initially drawn to Redeemer by the Christ-like love of the members of the congregation; a love demonstrated through fellowship and a willingness to bear hardship alongside one another. Daniel loves to serve Redeemer with his hands, whether by wrenching on a car, painting a wall, or simply shaking the hand of someone new. On the occasions that Daniel is missing from Louisville, you will probably find him with his family in Alabama, bounding down a mountain bike trail, or climbing westward peaks while enjoying the creation of the great God he serves.

Shanna joined the staff in August of 2018. She has been married to her husband Dallas for eleven years; they have three sons, Bridger, Freeland, and Rainer. Shanna is overjoyed to see the ways that the Lord is working in the church, and feels humbled by the responsibilities entrusted to her.

Dallas Steiden, WORSHIP LEADER

Dallas has been leading worship for nearly decades, and considers it an honor to aid others in connecting with the Lord through the beauty of music. He and his wife Shanna had been leading worship at Zion Church for two-ish years when Zion and Redeemer began holding joint services. He is blessed and encouraged to see the work the Lord is doing in bringing these congregations together. When not playing music, you’re most likely to find him soaking up every second with his three sons.

Lauren is a wife, mother, and Louisville transplant who is excited to continue her role as the Children’s Sunday School Coordinator. She joined Redeemer in 2015 and began serving in this capacity in 2017. Lauren is grateful to serve in a church that has shown her family God’s love.

Anna has been attending Redeemer since 2013 and became a member in 2016. She started as nursery coordinator in 2018. Anna feels honored to help serve the children of the church in this way. She is married to her husband Matt and they have two daughters, Amelia and Gwenyth.

Katie - Option 2.jpg

Katie has been a part of Redeemer since moving from Pittsburg, PA in 2013. She and her husband Aaron have two children, Maximus and Penelope. She loves being a part of the community at Redeemer and is encouraged by the way the church serves and loves each other. She is looking forward to uplifting and serving the women in the church through this role. She works as an accountant and enjoys volunteering, reading, and squeezing in a run now and then.
